This is a list for just my craftster.org swap partners, I'll modify it from time to time.

Supplies –

1. yarn - any kind really I'm almost out!! (at least enough to make a scarf)
4. fabrics of any sort – see below for colors, for patterns I like floral, asian and geometric
5. zippers – and your own instructions for best way to use them
6. stitch markers for knitting (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!! - I have size 10 needles)

Crafted stuff –

1. A bag like this in blue or pink, doesn't need to be vinyl as long as it's cute. I need it sorta big too (my sewing skillz are not good enough for this)
2. A zipper pouch (makeup bag size) think sewingstars.com or stitchpixie.com (zippers elude me) Thank you k8kre8s!
3. A set of hair sticks – I have long hair but these need to be short-ish not full chopstick length - about the length of a bick pen without the cap on.
4. Big chunky beaded necklace (Think large size marbles) thank you bracelet_girl!
5. These earrings
6. Needle book - THANK YOU Qasicat!
7. Stenciled shirt with a gun (walther ppk) and flowers (the S.O. knows how to stencil but damn if it's a little too much to get my head around) Women's Medium Please - but must be stretchy as I'm kinda curvy
7a. You would be my best-est friend in the whole world if you made me this dress, but instead of an owl, I want a Walther PPKS!
8. Cast resin necklace with a georgia o'keefe image (flowers not bones) – I don't have space/ventilation to cast resin.
8a. A microscope slide necklace with same art - I lost all my soldering stuff when I moved to LA
9. Any jewelry – I'm bored with what I have and the stuff I can make - well bored with that too Tongue
10. I want a crafty pirate (the one with scissors)! either a pin/button or a charm for my purse. Darn cafepress for not taking paypal!
11. a totoro hat!!

Other non crafty stuff –

1. A learn to knit book ( I know how to make a scarf but I've never followed any patterns)
2. A mix CD of electronica/techno/dance/dub/house stuff
3. A surprise – see below for what I like.

About me – almost 33 y.o. living in Hollywood. I love dogs, anything ultramarine blue or cobalt, computers, technology, the internet, sci-fi, anime, anything Japanese especially hello kitty and san-x. I don't drive, but I take the train to work – subways ROCK! I'm pretty girly, but not lacey and froofy, think candy and pink. I love pink too….However, as an aged ex-goth/new wave chic, I'm still addicted to black and all my techno style jewelry (think computer bits and lots of shiny stuff etc). My favorite designer style is Oakley, as in the sunglasses. Dragonflies are my favorite bug, but I'm not a nature girl – I love the city –pictures of tiny cute animals (like meomi.com) are awesome. Dress wise, I do conservative but hip for work (I work at an internet company so I can't dress too stuffy) with mostly black, some grey, green, blue, orange, and pink. I'm a t-shirt and jeans girl at home. I hate aquamarine and turquoise.

Long time no post...

So the Roomie is moving out. He'll be leaving on April 28th to go back to Texas.

What a shame, he's doing so well here. He has a great job playing video games for a living. I know that going back to Austin is nothing trouble for him and extra drama.

He's like so many people from Austin who just can't stay away. No matter how far away they go, and no matter how long they are gone, they are drawn back to Austin.

We've been here just over 2 years now. Things have been bad and life has been good. I will miss him and his doggie, but that's how the Roomie always has been. He moved out to California for a few months right after he and his ex-wife got married about 9 years ago. They came back to Austin.

The SO and I didn't speak to to him for almost 2 years because of the psycho bitch he married.

He and his wife got divorced.

He was alone in Austin for about a year before he packed his things and his doggie and moved to Modesto, CA with his parents. The Roomie was in Modesto for about a year before he decided that he had to come back to Austin. He lived with us for 2 1/2 years before we all moved here.

I might have the timing wrong, I don't think that adds up, but that's what I remember.

Ostensibly, the reason he's moving back is to help run a goat farm. PFHT :P He's said he's wanted a goat ranch for almost a decade now but never got around to it. I'm sure he just wants to go back and wallow in "the good old days" of his Austin memories .

I also ponder how much of his decision to move back to the shit hole is due to his ex wife (who he never got over) marrying another friend of ours?

How lame.
How overly dramatic.
How High School.

Now I'll have an extra bedroom where I can keep my craft things and the SO can doing his toy modeling. No more doggie dumping out my beads because he wants attention, no more doggie stepping all over my sewing patterns when I'm trying to make something. No more using the keyboard tray of my computer desk as a sewing table to keep the puppy out of my face.
